My Tapa -

Today I am going to be sharing my piece of art I did. Room 10 made tapa's that have patterns representing ourselves. My tapa has 6 patterns. The number 6 is how many people are in my family, the peace sign stands for my beliefs, the flag's obviously stand for my culture, the sport ball's are for my passion for playing sports, the 3 people in the bottom middle stands for my friendships and last but not least the pencil stands for my school.

Today Mrs. Collins our cybersmarts teacher gave room 10 a task to complete. It was called blog detective, we had to pick someone to write it about, and as you can see I picked Alyssa. 

In this blog detective DLO we had to write what we know about them from whats on their blog and she gave us questions like what they like and more other stuff. 

When she came to room 10 today to check if we've done it we had to present our work to her & the class.

- What did I find challenging ?
  I thought going through her blog and finding things I could put in my DLO was a little          challenging because she didn't really have much blogs about her self on there.

- What did you like about it ?
  I liked the fact that when I was going through her blog to find things I saw that she did a    blog detective of me. And I also liked how it was fun doing this task.

Today the student leaders had to fill out a survey for the Manaiakalani. This survey had questions that involved learn, create, share. The survey was also about what we use our devices for and what we go on when we are on them.

My answer to the questions was,

Yes, because I can learn about my culture and make a DLO about what I've learnt about my culture and once I know enough I can share it on my blog so that people know what new things I've learnt about my culture.

What I found challenging about the survey ?

Something I found challenging was some of the questions I had to answer because I didn't really know what answer I should put but I did end up finishing the survey. 

What I enjoyed about the survey ?

I enjoyed answering some of the questions because I was confident in my answers I selected.

🍽🥤🤤Technology - Food Tech🤤🥤🍽

Technology / Food Tech

Today we had technology, I am still in technology. Today I was paired up with Stephney and we got to make cottage pie again.

The ingredients we used was...
- Mince
- Onion
- Mushroom
- Potato
- Vegetables
- Oil

Method we used to make this dish...
Step 1 -
- Slice & Dice the onion
- Cut the potatoes into small pieces & cook until soft
- Mash

Step 2 - 
- Fry your mince with the onion and vegetables

Step 3 - 
- Put the mince into your baking tin and top with your potato
- Bake 180 c for 30 mins

Did I Find This Easy ?
Me personally, I did find it easy because I help my mum cook at home and we make this dish.

Would I Make This Again ?
Yes I would make this again because I think it is very easy and its yum

Here is a DLO I made relating to Anzac.

How did the ANZAC'S affect me? 
The messages the classes shared touched my heart because I had a family member who was in the war, to fight for our country.

My favourite group that presented was from our class, they did a rap. Their group was my favourite because the words they used in their rap was very deep.

We were given a task to complete, it was to list down qualities of a marathon runner.

🙂🌻My Term 1 Learning Journey In The Kia Manawanui Syndicate !!🌻🙂

Dear Helena,
This term I have enjoyed getting to know you better and becoming good friends with you, I also enjoyed

going to volley, even though we didn’t win any games it was fun because I made new friends and I had
a good time.

Two school values I have shown this term are Ako and Manaakitanga. I have shown Ako by helping my
peers when they need it and I have shown Manaakitanga by caring for my friends and other people in
my school when they are mad, sad etc.

One of the goals from my learning pathway artwork I achieved was getting better at maths, I achieved
this goal by listening in class and figuring out the answer step by step. People who have helped me
achieve this goal are my friends because when I am stuck on a question or part of a question they will
tell me how it is solved so I understand.

A goal from my learning pathway I want to work towards is not talking when the teacher is talking
because when I do I have no idea what we are doing or I get in trouble so I would like to work towards
no talking in class while the teacher is talking.

I am excited for term 2 because I get to come back and see my friends and learn different things.
Part of me is happy that is it the last day but the other half isn’t because I’ll have to wait till next term to
see my friends again unless I see them in the holidays. I am looking forward to playing all the sports
next term and all the other sports throughout the year, I am looking forward to joining all sports because
I love sports and I really enjoy playing them.

🍹🍲 Technology - Baking Lasagna 🍲🍹

Bonjour and greetings to you all, Welcome back to another blog post of mine !!

Today I am going to be sharing a DLO I created of what we made at technology on our last day of term 1 for cooking which was Lasagna. If you want to learn how to make Lasagna please read my DLO carefully so that your'e food comes out as good as ours was.

The next station I am going to after cooking is completely over is Graphics with Ms. Ferguson and after that I have Hard Materials with Mr. Grundy.
